New Feature! Daily Test

Activate this feature in your Control Panel and we will email you a practice test every day. So instead of going to our website and logging in, you simply need to check your email. This way you will never forget to practice! Since we implemented this tool, it became one of our most popular features. Available with the Complete Training Kit.

Custom Tests

This feature allows you to create your own tests with the official study material. You decide which chapters you want tested, and in how many questions. You can further customize this type of test by going to Settings and adding a Cheat button, Audio Support, or activate Express Training. If you make a mistake, the correct answer will appear, sometimes along with a picture to help you remember. At the end of each test, you will be able to see a detailed transcript of your test, with all your wrong answers listed separately, so you can concentrate on your errors. You can print the results or email them to yourself with one click.

Tests by Chapter

Many of our users like to study chapter by chapter. If that’s your case, this kind of test is great because it asks you all possible questions, but only those that belong to a specific chapter of the study guide. Here too, you will see the correct answers after each question.

True or False

If you wonder what your level is, we recommend you start with this one. It is faster, since all the questions are in the True or False format. The whole Study Guide is covered in this set, so when you are done, the amount of mistakes will pretty much indicate how ready you really are. But most importantly, you can use our highly popular Gap Detector add-on with it, which will show you instantly which pages of the manual you should review.

Gap Detector

Works with the True or False test only. Every time you answer a question correctly, it shows it in blue on a bar that represents the pages of the official study guide. Each mistake is shown in red. This feature is especially handy the day before the exam: run your Gap Detector and review the pages in red to make sure those “gaps” are covered.

Real Test Simulation

This is your ultimate self-evaluation tool. These tests recreate the format of the official test: 20 questions in 30 minutes, with the 75% passmark. Just like in the real test, you will not see the answers after each question. Of course, we will give you a detailed transcript at the end. The amount of Real Test Simulations depends on your Kit: Light Kit comes with 3, Basic with 10, and Complete Kit offers unlimited simulations. You need to pass at least one simulation in order to obtain your Completion Certificate.

Practice Questions in PDF

If you prefer to study on paper, the old-fashioned way, with a pencil in your hand, simply go to Reading > Download Practice Questions in PDF. You will also need to download a separate document called “the Key”. The file with Questions comes with a grid to enter your answers.

Study Guide in PDF

This is the official manual distributed by the Australian government. A hard copy is normally sent to all applicants. This PDF form can be handy if you want to read it on a laptop or a mobile device, or if you want to print out just some specific pages – for example those indicated by the Gap Detector.

Practice on Mobile Phone

If you are away from your computer, you can still practice using your mobile phone. Several options are available: Android, Blackberry, and all other phones (even the most basic phones, as long as they have a wap browser). We also offer a Premium Android app to practice with more features.

No time to read? Download this MP3 version on to your music player, such as iPod, and listen to the Study Guide in your car, on transit, in a park while jogging, or anywhere else.

Completion Certificate

If you passed at least one Real Test Simulation, you can obtain your Completion Certificate. The name of the Certificate will be the same name that you entered during your Registration process.

Test History

This feature allows you to review all the tests that you took since you started. You should be able to see that the amount of your mistakes decreases with each test. You can find your Test History in the Main Menu, on the left side of your Control Panel.

Listen to Questions & Answers

If you wish to listen to the questions and answers, activate this feature in Settings. A small speaker icon will appear next to each question, and each answer option. Simply point to that icon with your mouse to listen.

Instant Translation

Right under the main menu you will find the Instant Translation tool. Select a test, start it, and if you need to translate a certain question, simply select the target language in the dropdown form provided. The translation will appear instantly. You can then revert to the original text by clicking “Return to Original”. Remember that your test will be in English. So it’s best not to get too used to the translations.

Local Support Groups

We ask all our users to evaluate our service. A feature that was suggested by many users in the past, is the ability to contact other users from the same city. This is now implemented in the Complete Kit. Select your city (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra are currently available), and join the Group by using a nickname.

Express Training

We recommend to activate this setting when you start your training. It will automatically limit your question pool to the most important questions. We think it is useless to memorize the year when gold was discovered in Australia if you don’t know who the Queen is. We call it Express Training because this is your best bet if you have little time left until the test. It allows you to cover the most important things without going too deep into the material. You may still miss several questions at the exam, but you will be familiar with the most frequently asked questions.

Immediate Access

Our training kits are web-based. That means that nothing is sent by regular mail. There is no software to install, no virus risk, no lost packages. Also no waiting! You will receive your Access Link immediately after purchase, so you can start studying right away. This is also the most ecological option, as no paper is used in the process.

Cheat Button

Inspired by “Do you want to be a Millionaire?”, this feature shows a “Cheat” button under each question. If you click on it, it will remove ONE wrong option. Of course, this is meant only as a training help, and nothing like that will be available at the real test!

Progress Bar

Located in the top left corner of your Control Panel, your Progress Bar shows how much you covered already and how much is still to do. The percentages are calculated according to the amount of questions you answered, as well as the amount of test simulations and other criteria. It will also show you how many days you have left until your Official Exam, provided you entered that information correctly during Registration.
